ELIZABETH GREENE GREW UP ON A FARM IN RURAL GEORGIA. to anyone on the outside the farm didn’t seem like anything special, but it had been in the greene family for a very long time. she went to school further into the city, getting the chance to mingle and socialize, though she spent a lot of her time trying to get out of her sister’s shadow. it wasn’t until someone at school heard her sing that she skyrocketed into popularity. she had never thought of herself as that great of a performer, but apparently everyone else thought differently.SHE ENDED UP LIKING A BOY. he was the usual kind of popular guy who didn’t really care about much else other than sex and football. beth didn’t know this though, and so she started becoming louder and wearing skirts that were just a little bit shorter in an attempt to catch his attention.SHE NEVER CAUGHT HIS ATTENTION UNTIL A PARTY ONE NIGHT. her father had told her that she couldn’t go, but beth insisted it would be fine and eventually he allowed it. beth had only just managed to get out and get on her bike that night, she’d worn something she knew her father never would’ve approved of and so she’d been in a desperate rush to leave without him seeing her. that night while she was at the party the boy gave her a few drinks, though she’d made sure that they weren’t alcoholic since her father had forbidden her from drinking alcohol.

IT WASN'T LONG BEFORE SHE FELT LIGHT-HEADED, like she’d been whacked over the head and was about to pass out. it was confusing, because she’d been sure that she wasn’t drinking anything alcoholic. she’d been surprised when the boy found her and took her upstairs, but she was thankful that he was looking out for her. she didn’t realize something was wrong until he started tugging at her clothes. she tried her hardest to fight back, but she couldn’t stop him from doing the horrible, horrible thing that he had planned.FROM THEN ON SHE WAS QUIET, never really bothering with boys despite the attention she sometimes got from the male population. it became apparent that he had shared with his friends what he had done, and he hadn’t bothered to sugar coat it. his friends knew all the gruesome details and she knew it every time one of them looked at her.BETH WAS SIXTEEN YEARS OLD WHEN HER LIFE WAS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN. her mother and brother had been dead - at least she thought they had been - when suddenly they got up again. but something was wrong. they were sick they had to have been. they came at her and her sister as if they were lions and the greene sisters were merely prey to the beasts. not knowing what else to do with them, the family locked them in their barn. slowly, though, the population in the barn began to rise. more and more sick people were coming through and the barn was crowded. that’s when a man came running up to their house with his kid bleeding out in his arms.

mary lane is an image of the Perfect little catholic girl, good grades, popular, church going, innocent, etc. Her boyfriend Jimmy Harper is very much the same - just a good guy, doing his best to woo mary and make her feel loved. The pair plan on getting married one day, wholeheartedly believe themselves to be entirely destined to be together. Mary’s a skilled dancer, and when she hears that there’s a dance competition coming up mary immediately wants jimmy to be her partner. She comes up with a routine, but when she asks Jimmy to be her partner he’s clearly terrified. In Jimmy’s own words he’s “got two left feet and they’re on backwards.” Mary has to race off to get changed for 4-h club, and in an attempt to learn how to dance jimmy goes off with a man named jack. jack takes jimmy to his reefer den and quickly gets the boy hooked on reefer.mary is more or less oblivious to this, but over the coming weeks she notices that jimmy starts acting different towards her, being jumpy and hostile. she questions if it’s her that’s the problem, mentioning that he hasn’t tried to kiss her in over a week. he takes that in stride and kisses her but - shock horror - it’s with tongue! that totally freaks mary out, the girl asking what got into him before running away in tears. mary goes to church, left realising that she’s alone when she reaches for jimmy’s hand and instead just finds an empty pew. she prays that jimmy will come back to her, that he’ll be himself again.jimmy steals mary lane’s car one night, going on a reefer fueled joyride with another member of the reefer den, sally. sally drives the car, but gets distracted and ends up running over an old man. jimmy is brought to his senses, returning mary’s car to her driveway and preparing to run away and give up the reefer for good. he goes to mary lane’s balcony and says goodbye, but mary insists on how much she loves him and refuses to leave him, asking to go with him. “if romeo has to run away then so does juliet.” he gives in and says yes, telling her to go pack a bag, but when she returns with her things jimmy is gone.

unfortunately jimmy isn’t gone because he ran away to get clean. he tried to, but jack swept him up and tricked him into returning to the reefer den and getting high. mary lane goes out in search of jimmy, ending up finding herself at the reefer den. one of the reefer fiends, ralph, opens the door and invites mary inside with the lie that jimmy had gone out to “get bibles for their prayer circle later” which mary falls for immediately, claiming that’s her jimmy. ralph is quick to take advantage of mary’s innocence, trying to seduce her by tricking her into smoking a joint and getting her hooked on reefer. the plan backfires, the reefer turns the virginal mary into a kinky dominatrix who plans to turn ralph into her slave. he freaks out about that a bit, but mary’s the one in charge now. jimmy shows up and finds mary straddling ralph, but when ralph tries to explain that it’s not what it looks like jimmy gets mad and starts fighting him.jack comes home and sees this and immediately gets into the middle of it, pulling out his gun to threaten jimmy but the pair fight over it and the gun accidentally goes off, shooting mary in the chest. jack knocks jimmy out, placing the gun in his hand and waking him up with smelling salts and convincing the boy that he shot mary. jimmy, overcome with guilt, holds mary in his arms as she dies. the cops show up and arrest jimmy, and jack gets away with murder.but ralph is overcome with guilt, soon seeing hallucinations of mary who has been sent to hell and is a slave to the devil. after ralph’s death at jack’s hand, jack’s girlfriend, mae, kills jack and frees jimmy from jail just before he’s killed for his crimes. jimmy gets entirely clean, seeing a ghostly hallucination of mary. mary is freed from the shackles of hell and sent to heaven because jesus was so moved by jimmy turning against reefer in the end.

alexandra brown was an average girl. going by lexie ever since she was a kid, she’d never been one to make waves. head down, blending in with the crowd. somewhat quiet, always friendly enough. it seemed like she could blend with any crowd, be friends with anyone. she had her tight knit group, her friends that she cared about more than anyone, childhood friends and her boyfriend included. but there was no one she didn’t get along with, no one she hated.it was meant to be a celebration. a camping trip in honor of finishing their first year of college. it was supposed to be fun. and it is. everyone's drunk, everyone's having fun. there’s laughing, there’s jokes. gossip and rumors, moments spent making out in the shadows. party games, drinking games. a terrible attempt at pitching tents. they’re all enjoying themselves.and then they're not. sierra starts yelling, lexie yells louder. sierra slaps lexie, and when lexie goes to fight back mitch is quick to push her away. before she knows what's happening lexie is falling. something goes through her side, there's so much blood. her boyfriend jayden rushes to her side, he tries to help. but someone pulls him away, someone says they have to go. lexie barely clings to consciousness, but she hears someone say that SHE’S GONE. then the world goes black.she awakens covered in dirt, digging her way out of the shallow attempt at a grave made for her. everyone's gone, no sign that they were ever there. they all ran away, they abandoned her. lexie stumbles to a nearby town, gets taken to the hospital. she doesn't speak, just processes what's going on. she’s scared and confused and hurt, but more than that: she’s angry. uncontrollable emotion leads to cutting her hair in the hospital bathroom, as if that would make her feel better.one morning, lexie sees her own face in the paper: LOCAL GIRL DISAPPEARS ON CAMPING TRIP — FRIENDS SAY SHE JUST VANISHED. it makes her want to scream. just vanished? that's what they're going with? people say she ran away, that she was rebelling. some people think she's dead, that there's no way she'd survive alone in the woods. it's at that moment that lexie decides to go by alex, decides that things have to change. she still refuses to speak to hospital staff, but soon enough they let her leave.

but alex doesn’t go home. no, she couldn’t do that. not when she’s still struggling to remember parts of what happened. it’s all a haze. she was screaming, she was falling, jayden was there… someone pulled him away. they all left. that’s the part that hurts the most. she doesn’t know why they left, doesn’t know what made them decide it was better to go, that she must’ve been dead, but the reasons don’t matter. she doesn’t care why. she just cares that they did.the better part of a year is spent in this town, a job as a waitress paying the rent in a shitty apartment. hair is bleached blonde, the girl’s ability to blend in with a crowd making it so that no one suspects a thing. back home people mourn, her parents mourn. the town is rocked by the case of the missing girl, people just don’t go missing here. but of course some people think she’s still alive, some people think she ran away. she’s not the one who ran. between the mourning and the crying, there’s suspicions. people that question what really happened, that wondered if she had some secret life to run off to. but those theories don’t last long. within a month the town comes to the conclusion that she must be dead.it’s on the one year anniversary that alex returns home. a year of festering rage, of unanswered questions and hurt feelings. no answers, no explanations. it just hurts. there’s a small memorial service, a sweet gesture in theory. it’s there that alex decides to show up, walking in as people cry at the memory of her. she wanted the chaos, wanted the reactions. and oh, she got what she wanted. alex is good at playing innocent, at playing dumb. her friends say she just vanished? disappeared without a trace? alex can work with that. she claims not to remember anything, claims not to know it had been a year. it’s surprisingly easy, everyone seems to fall for the amnesiac act.but alex doesn’t leave it there. it’s when she’s alone with her friends, with the ones who abandoned her, that she says three little words that makes the room go cold: “i remember everything.” as her friends sit in stunned silence she walks out, returns to playing the role she’d put herself in. of course, neither side is true. she doesn’t remember anything, a lot of blank spaces without answers, but she does remember some things. she remembers enough.all alex wants is the truth, and once she knows it the truth will come out.

september caldwell was only a child when robert edwards kidnapped them. they were three, maybe four. still new to life, still entirely oblivious. renamed september edwards, raised as his, they had no idea about the truth of their upbringing. robert was a member of the vipers, one of the most dangerous gangs in the united states. he kept his daughter out of it, but not because he had good intentions. september’s father was an angry man, and from the moment he'd taken september he’d been violent towards them. he saw them as nothing more than his property, a business opportunity, a chance to make some quick cash. so for as long as he'd had them he would groom them into being what he wanted, control every aspect of their life. from their diet to what they wore each day, who they saw and what they spent their time doing, robert controlled it all. it wasn't long until september became the cash cow robert craved. he’d sell them off to whoever would pay, an extensive list of people who didn’t care how young they were. robert made sure to convince september it was okay every step of the way, kept telling them that they were doing great, would talk to them like a business partner. they never saw the issue with what was going on.september was six when they first went to the vipers’ base. there they met emile stark, the son of ivan - the leader of the vipers. the pair struck up a friendship, but when september innocently commented that they weren’t allowed to eat sugar, emile decided to confront their father about it. robert shoved emile to the ground after emile called him a shitty father, and as soon as ivan heard what was going on he’d held robert at gunpoint until he left. for a few days september was left at the gang base, time spent with emile making the pair grow close, though september could feel how strange they were, how different. eventually robert got september back and it was business as usual, with september once again being kept under lock and key. ivan kept robert in the gang, but only so that he could keep an eye on september until he was able to legally get them off of roberts hands.as the years went on things continued as usual, with september doing whatever their father said and never questioning it. they considered their life normal, or close to it, and never quite processed that what grown men were doing to them wasn’t okay. ivan caught on to things more as they got older, and it was when september was eleven that things went wrong. ivan had confronted robert, and in an intense fight robert killed ivan. immediately he grabbed september and the pair went on the run. over the next few years robert kept up the way he abused and pimped out september, though it only seemed to get worse as time went on. over time september blocked out their childhood, so traumatised that they forgot everything. but even despite this trauma, they never accepted that what happened was bad.it was when september turned eighteen that they were separated from their father. a deal went wrong, robert believed september would only slow him down, so he told them he’d come back for them and he left. the contact number he left them wasn’t real, and soon enough september realised that they were entirely alone. they did what they needed to get by, a year going by before once again their life changed.witnessing a bank robbery had been bad enough, but then september had been kidnapped by one of the robbers. the man’s boss came out, and upon seeing september arranged for the man who took them to be killed. the kidnapping had gone against direct orders, but that wasn’t all. the leader was none other than emile stark, who had taken over the vipers after his father died. he knew exactly who he was looking at — but september didn’t know who he was, only knew him as a dangerous gang leader. they tried not to be afraid, but it didn’t really work. however, they did make one request: they wanted to be the one to kill the man who kidnapped them. they didn’t know where the request came from, but they needed it. after that emile brought them into the gang, though they weren’t exactly the typical gang member.over time emile and september formed a strong relationship. people noticed this, and one of emile’s exes kidnapped september. emile single handedly killed almost the entire gang that had been holding them, saving them in the process. after that september wanted to learn to fight, and reluctantly emile agreed. soon after this, robert came back into septembers life, showing up at the gangs base asking them to get back into their old “jobs” to help him get some cash. after emile realises the history of abuse and the disgusting things that their old “jobs” entailed he violently kicked robert out, telling him never to go near september again. in the process robert revealed that ivan was alive and out for revenge.eventually ivan, emile and his brother enzo teamed up to take robert out. september came along, desperately hoping they could save their father. but things quickly go bad and while ivan and enzo are out of the room robert attacks emile, beating him half to death. in a panic september takes emile’s gun and shoots their father, killing him immediately. for a few hours they’re in a near catatonic state, but by the time they wake up the next morning they’re suddenly seeming fine, as if nothing happened. they’ve locked their feelings away, have changed into someone stone-faced and cold blooded. their role in the gang shifts, they suddenly become far more violent. they’re still timid, still nervous with the effects of their father, but they’re growing.

before september knows what’s going on, things are getting good. they meet a boy named kai - the leader of the onyx skulls, a gang that emile also holds weight over - and a girl named nevaeh, kai’s girlfriend. and before they know what’s happening the relationship has developed, september finding themself in a committed polyamorous relationship with emile, kai, and nevaeh. they feel better, they start to feel loved. and then things fall apart.the gang returns to the base one day to find that there’s blood and bullet holes everywhere, emile’s jacket lying in the middle of it all. emile stark is dead. the news hits everyone hard, but it makes september fall apart. he had been instrumental in their life, had been the only reason they weren’t still doing whatever their father wanted of them. he had been the first person to show them love. and now he was gone.september goes off the rails, starts to turn even more violent and bloodthirsty than before. they disappear at all hours and return to base covered head to toe in blood. they won’t say who died, just tells anyone who sees them not to worry. they’re taking control of their past, viscously tearing apart all the men who had abused them. it’s cathartic, though september has long moved past the general range of human emotions. of course they have, their emotional tether is gone. they still have kai and nevaeh, but things just aren’t the same anymore. kai runs the vipers now, the onyx skulls merging into the gang to make it one larger gang. nevaeh’s falling apart just as much as september is. everythings crumbling.it’s a month after emile’s death when september gets hit with a confronting truth: robert edwards was not their father. the news hits them like a truck, everything they’d ever known suddenly coming into question. they soon find their birth parents, charity workers who seem too good to be true. living in their own perfect little suburbia, they welcome september in, finally getting to know their own daughter. september comes to love and trust them quickly, comes to view them as family. perhaps some level of guilt over robert's death, some level of desperation for a true parent. but things soon become different. september doesn't really notice it, it's subtle and they're not good at noticing their own mistreatment, but something is wrong. their parents are using september's gang experience to their advantage, and soon enough they find themself with a list of names - people their parents want dead. they do as their parents ask, happy to help. the gang isn't told about what's going on, they don’t need to know.it's only after september truly opens up to their new parents about what robert did to them that things change. it's only a month or so into their relationship with their parents, things progressing quick enough that it's clear manipulation is involved. but september's oblivious. and before they know it they find themself back in their old business, doing what robert had always made them do. their parents are selling them off to whoever will pay, and while september may not like doing it they want to do what's best for their parents. plus, this is all they've ever really known. it's what they're used to, what they're good at. so they're back to old habits, treated poorly and never really getting to keep the money. it's how things used to be, feels like how things should be. they don't talk to the gang much - their parents doing what they can to separate september from those who treat them well. and over the next few months september says no more than a handful of words to anyone in the gang, becoming at home in the silence.but then they find out that they’re pregnant. in fear they tell their parents, who are very specific in saying that september shouldn't keep the baby. but september's done the math - they know it's emile's. there's no way they'd be this far along with anyone else. and so, in a moment of fear, they tell enzo - emile’s twin brother. they keep up with what their parents wanted for a little while, but once they start really showing they have to stop - something their parents aren't happy about, but will accept so long as september goes back to working for them once the baby's born. they agree, and soon enough they give birth to a baby boy that they name emile in honor of his late father. emile jr - affectionately known as milo - is raised by the entire gang, everyone loving and caring for the infant. as promised, september returns to their parents and goes back to the job they'd always done.a year after emile's death september returns to the base to find emile holding their child. he’s still alive. he’d faked his death to keep them all safe, but now he’s back. and while it's entirely a relief, september finds themself struggling to merge their old life and their current one. secrets are harder to keep with emile back, and it's only a matter of time until he finds out the truth about what their birth parents are doing and puts a stop to it.

FRYDERIKA STILINSKI WAS AN ORDINARY GIRL FOR MOST OF HER LIFE, despite the wild things going on so close to her. her older brother, stiles, was best friends with a werewolf and soon enough came to date a were-coyote, but fred was oblivious to that for a while. it wasn't until stiles was possessed by some supernatural demon that she was told about the supernatural, but it was a tough pill to swallow and she was only told that stiles was possessed, never being told anything further than that.OVER THE FOLLOWING MONTHS SHE CAME TO ACCEPT THAT THE THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT WERE REAL, but she still didn't like it. she tended to avoid talking about it for the most part, and any weird things stiles got himself into often went ignored. life was just so much easier when she didn't have to worry about all that kind of stuff.BUT THEN THINGS GOT A LITTLE HARDER TO IGNORE, she became an experiment, one of the dread doctor's chimeras. they mixed a snake with a werewolf, leaving the girl with the ability to the fangs and claws of a werewolf, her bite laced with a non-lethal venom. they didn't find out what she was until too late, though, and the dread doctors killed her; just like they killed the other chimeras.

BUT THEN THEO BROUGHT HER BACK. he taught her control, helping her to be a little more normal. and so the girl became loyal to theo, to her alpha. scott and stiles tried to tell her that he was a bad guy, but she stayed loyal to him. yes, scott and stiles had been by her side since she was a kid, but theo had been there when they were younger too, and he'd brought her back from the dead.IT TOOK THEO BEING DRAGGED TO HELL FOR FRED TO GO BACK TO HER BROTHER'S SIDE. of course they had their reservations about her switching sides so suddenly, but she was stiles' sister. they couldn't just cast her out. so she became a part of the mccall pack, but she would soon learn that being a part of the supernatural world wasn't as easy as she once thought.SHE’S TERRIFIED WHEN STILES DISAPPEARS SUDDENLY, but no one else seems to remember him. days pass, and soon enough she doesn’t remember who it was that she’d been so worried about, can’t seem to figure out what was missing. and of course when stiles returned she felt guilty, but she didn’t exactly have control.LIFE AS A CHIMERA GOT EVEN HARDER WHEN THE WAR BEGAN. she got by without anyone knowing for a while, but then people at school started testing people and soon enough everyone saw the way fred healed. it’s a mission to survive, but she’ll do whatever it takes.

BEING BORN A HARRINGTON IS SUPPOSEDLY A BLESSING, ‘cause who doesn't want to be a part of the rich and popular harrington family? perhaps the family is a blessing, but poor deborah harrington never felt all that blessed. raised in a home with parents that had a questionable amount of love for their children, debbie ended up closer to her brother steve than anyone else in the family. only a year younger than him, debbie ended up in steve's care almost more often than she was in her parents' care.DEBBIE WAS EIGHT WHEN SHE WAS TAKEN. at the park with steve, a boy not at all old enough to be the one in charge. it was late in the afternoon and they both wanted to go home, steve leading the way and debbie following. by the time steve turned around to check on her debbie was gone. she woke up in hawkins lab, a tattoo on her wrist reading 013. they did tests, tried to figure things out, but it seemed as though the girl just didn't pick up any abilities. they never saw the things she could do actually happen, never noticed that there were lightning storms any time she was tested. considered a failure, the girl was discarded into the woods and soon enough found her way home — almost two years after she disappeared.SHE SOON ENDED UP MOVING ON, the memories of the lab being more and more repressed as she got older. her parents made up a terrible excuse for the tattoo and decided to let her forget that she ever disappeared. as the years passed debbie covered the tattoo, deeming it ugly and hiding it at any opportunity. it got to the point where anyone who had seen it ended up forgetting that it was there.

SHE SUDDEN DISAPPEARANCE OF WILL BYERS DOESN'T BOTHER HER MUCH, the girl feeling bad for his family but not really that interested past that. he gets found soon enough anyway, so she lets herself forget about it for a year or so. until just after halloween debbie found a baseball bat covered in nails under her brother's bed. what was she doing under his bed? that's irrelevant, what matters is that she confronts steve about it. he tells her everything he knows about the upside down and what really happened to will, and suddenly nothing feels safe anymore. especially since he proceeds to take the bat and get into the car with one of will's friends. she follows them to the junkyard, and that's where she comes face to face with a demo-dog. she manages to stay safe, but after that everything changed.NOTHING WAS MORE COMPLICATED, though, than when a little girl opened a door with her mind. as if that hadn't been bad enough debbie noticed the tattoo on her arm. 011. debbie asks questions, but everyone's hesitant to answer. so, in a moment of fear and confusion, she shows everyone her tattoo. she's caught up on eleven's past and — after a frantic phone call with her parents — discovers that she'd been in the same lab. a couple of memories come flooding back and she realizes that she's more connected to this than she thought, but then she realizes something else: the other people with these tattoos have powers. and so she tries to figure out what she can do, though with no idea where to start — or if she even has powers — the girl has a long path ahead of her.IT'S A NORMAL DAY WHEN SHE FINDS OUT. cool kids harassing her was nothing new, the girl was an easy target despite her brother. things went differently this time, though. it rained as things got worse, but no one stopped. they ignored the rain, acted as if it wasn't there. terrified, debbie screamed for them to stop, and like magic a bolt of lightning came from the sky, striking one of them (killing her) and sending the others flying backwards. they all ran screaming, a couple of them burned or bleeding, and debbie sat in stunned silence, completely fine. now all she had to do was figure out how to control what she could do. and deal with the fact that she kind of just killed someone.
